Afghan crises affected every field of Afghans’ life including education. Moreover higher education systems & trend of higher education in Afghanistan was already lower even in 21st century. Afghan government were given true advice by the world countries to improve education system to increase literacy percentage.
Pakistan & Afghanistan are neighbour countries connected via Islamic brotherhood relation. Pakistan always helped Afghanistan in difficult times & create several opportunities to facilitate Afghanistan’s people.
President Dr. Arif Alvi reiterated Pakistan’s offer of online and virtual education facilities to Afghan students through Allama Iqbal Open University and Virtual University. The President of the State had earlier made this offer during the meeting of the Minister of Education of Afghanistan with the President of the state.
On the news of Mufti Taqi Usmani’s visit to Afghanistan and his meeting with the top Afghan leadership, the President contacted Mufti Taqi Usmani over the phone. There is no nationwide internet in Afghanistan, initially educational content can be delivered to Afghan students through television.
He said, the Government and the State of Pakistan believe in providing equal educational opportunities to women, President of the State The order of recitation in the Qur’an is for all, not reserved for any particular gender. In view of Afghanistan’s specific socio-economic traditions and according to the Afghan leadership’s promise, special arrangements can be made for women’s education, the President said. Islam lays special emphasis on education for all without distinction between men and women.
Moreover, during meetings with the Afghan Ambassador, Consul Generals and other government leaders, the President of the State has offered Pakistan to provide virtual education facilities to Afghanistan.
